Third generation Nashville native and founder of Tater’s Hats, Peyton Foriest, not only has an extensive knowledge of hat making but many years being recognizably known as one of Nashvilles best hat shapers. Growing up Peytons brother coined his childhood nickname “Tater” after of one their favorite Ron White stand up jokes known as “Tater Salad.” Mr. Foriest is passionate about his work being that of the highest quality and the satisfaction of his customers in incredibly important. This stems from being met himself with disappointment throughout the years of witnessing the steady regression of the overall quality in the hat industry. He understands that people work, and rodeo in their hats, snd to Tater’s Hats and many others, cowboy hats are more than just a gimmick. They are very much real, they’re valuable, and functional, and we intend to keep it that way.
